4 reasons to visit Thailand in 2019
Thailand is one of those places that many people have on their bucket list as a place they absolutely want to visit. The strange thing is, though, that if we don't make it there during our younger years, we don't tend to make it there at all. It's almost as if we think of the archipelago as a destination that we visit during a prolonged period of travelling rather than as somewhere to visit for a week or two during our summer vacation. Thailand has so much to offer, though and we really shouldn't be overlooking it as a destination in this way. Read on to find out why it should be at the top of your list of places to visit in 2019.
It's affordable
You might have to pay a bit more to get to Thailand because it’s a bit further away than a destination that you would usually consider. Once you are there, however, you will find it more affordable than anywhere else you have been before. Food, accommodation and tourist activities in the country are generally much cheaper than other destinations, meaning that you can truly enjoy yourself while you are there. In fact, the prices are so reasonable that you could consider adding a week or two on to your vacation or maybe even upgrade your hotel to take advantage of some of the more luxurious establishments Thailand has to offer.
The beaches
Thailand has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The islands surrounding the country are particularly picturesque, and home to crystal clear waters lapping against the white sand. Thailand is home to many different kinds of beaches, too. From the kind that attract plenty of tourists to smaller, more secluded pockets of paradise, there is something for everyone. There are also plenty of watersports on offer, taking advantage of the natural surroundings. You might not know this but being insured is mandatory in Thailand, so bear this in mind before you go. It's always good to have cover in place, of course, especially if you’re looking to partake in adventurous sports.
The nightlife
Thailand really is famous for its nightlife. Quite often the image of the cities at night (portrayed in our media, at least) is quite sleazy. This really does not represent the whole of Thailand, though. There is plenty of fun to be had by visiting bars or nightclubs.
Sightseeing
Thailand is home to some amazing historical and cultural sites. From beautiful Buddhist temples to ancient palaces, there is so much to see. Every major city in the country has its own temple to Buddha and they are all incredibly ornate and beautiful. There is so much attention to detail and so much intricacy in their design that they really do make wonderful places to visit and spend some time contemplating life. Thailand also has an incredibly rich history and much of this is left behind for visitors to see. You really will never get bored in this rich and vibrant country.
